 The Long Beach Sailing Foundation fleet of Catalina 37s and their ideal location at Long Beach Yacht Club create a one-of-a-kind destination venue for teambuilding and charity fundraising events on a large scale. In partnership with our teambuilding event provider smithREgroup, LLC, the Foundation is able to provide customized teambuilding events, regattas, corporate retreats and charity fundraising events centered around a day of sailing, racing or specific teambuilding exercises on the water, aboard our fleet of 11 Catalina 37s.
With a typical set up of 6 participants and 2 professional coaches on each boat, an event can be structured for groups of 6-80 participants, or even more if you wish to have spectators. A typical day begins with a continental breakfast and chalk talk with introduction to sailing. Once you are on the water a specific program can be tailored to your individual group’s requirements, including basic sailing, entry level racing, match racing and all out regattas which can become very competitive between company divisions or work groups.
