Douglas "Dougie" Pye Memorial Amateur Athlete Fund
Purpose
The Douglas Pye Memorial Amateur Athlete Fund was created to honor the life of a remarkable man who was always working to bring others along to succeed in the sports he loved. Dougie, as he was known by all his friends, was a highly accomplished rugby player and professional sailor. Throughout his remarkable life you could always find him coaching others and sharing his passion to help others succeed. This scholarship is created in his memory to support sailing and rugby youth as they pursue national and international competition and/or to develop youth for such competition.
